Can you get 7 foot fence panels?
Yes, 7 ft fence panels are available at City Fencing. They are less common than 6ft ones but we do have the option for 7ft ones too. These are great for added privacy or for extra security.
How many rails for a 7 ft fence?
A 7ft fence usually needs 3 horizontal rails for adequate support. These rails should be placed evenly across middle, top and bottom. This helps in making the fence panel stable, especially for big fences. We have the following sizes at City Fencing:

Is it cheaper to buy fence panels or build them?
Usually, buying an already made fence panel is cheaper than building them. It saves time, equipment cost, material and the manual work. At City Fencing, we have ready made heavy duty feather edge panels that are made from pressure treated timber and not the dip treatment.
Do I need planning permission to put up a 6ft fence?
In most of the cases you won’t need a planning permission to put up a 6ft fence if the total height including any trellis does not exceed 2 metres. However, if it’s used for a public place, the maximum height allowed will be 1 metre. It’s good to check with the local council if you’re unsure.
